Santana has the type of energy that the moment you meet her, you feel it's okay to hug strangers... and you do. Immediately I became enamored with her entire life. Her Haitian accent is softly buried in transitional pauses and her authentic grace is evident. I'm so lucky I can now call her my friend. 

We talked forever about Basil and their wedding and one miraculous day, to my surprise, she was right upstairs all along. Meeting Basil was like meeting my best friend for the two thousandth time. As if we picked up right where we left off. So naturally, I had to insert myself in their world somehow, whether they wanted me to or not. Mexico was the obvious choice. 

Probably seventy-seven times this day I looked at them and said, "I just love love!" I'm sure I drove them crazy but it's true. You can pose and prompt people all day, but you cannot fake love. Photos cannot be beautiful if there isn't any beauty to capture. 

Here's to two of the most beautiful women I've ever met and their fairytale kind of love. And also, their patience as I take six weeks to develop their photos. ox
