Andy + Natalie | Greater Philadelphia Area Wedding | Kindred Souls Photography | Community Arts Center | Wallingford, Pennsylvania
During a week of what seemed like never-ending rain from hurricane Joaquin, my emotions matched the stormy fury that was brewing outside. Exactly one week after parting from my steady daytime job, I was frantic about now being completely self-employed. The adjustment was real. It was weighted and my direction began to feel lost. During one of the 70,000 thoughts I processed each day, I thought to myself, "This is a perfect time to hang out with Danae!"
Danae and I are kindred souls. Pun intended. Maybe it's in a past life. Maybe it only exists in a parallel universe. But, we undoubtedly are. Even though our friendship story developed unconventionally, I am so glad I got to keep her for myself. Danae photographed my own wedding and I couldn't be more thankful of that. At the time, hubs and I were moving across the country and each changing jobs so we were tired, unprepared and broke. My "Aunt" Donna had gifted us Danae's photography talents for our wedding day, something that we may have possibly not had at all due to our dwindling funds. So again, this girl has my heart. I would do anything I could for her.
When I called my dear friend and told her the news she immediately went out and bought me a sweet, little thoughtful gift. I hadn't seen her in months and since I now had too much free time on my hands, we'd planned to hang out on the weekend. Not even 24 hours later she texted me with the idea that I could help her out for Natalie and Andy's wedding that upcoming Saturday night. I. Was. Smitten. I learned a lot about wedding photography that night and am now completely hooked. I am so grateful for her authentic thought of me, her generosity and her friendship.
I am especially thankful that she took me to the most amazing wedding ceremony one could have witnessed. You've never experienced a love like any until you've seen these two and heard their story. They are one of those couple's people wonder about if they're really real.
Well, I'm here to tell you they are. And they are adorable.
Here are some of my favorite shots taken from my camera on my Tamron lens. All photos are owned by Kindred Souls Photography.
